About Me

winning the battle against intruding pests

I live in the country and I love it. I love the seclusion, the peace and the wildlife that fills my yard through the changing seasons. What I don't like are the pests that try to make themselves at home inside my home. I have gone through many battles over the years with the different insects and rodents that intrude and have been able to win most battles fairly easily. I built this blog with the hopes of helping others who suffer from the same determined pests that I have find a way to get them out of their homes for good.

4 Reasons to Keep Critters Away From Your Your Home

If you've got wildlife heading towards your property now that the weather is turning cold, it's time to get started with the pest control services. Those wild animals may be fun to watch, but they'll wreak havoc if they're allowed to hang around for too long. Here are just some of the reasons why you shouldn't encourage wildlife activity on your property.

They'll Threaten Your Pets

If you have pets that go outside during the winter, you need to keep the wildlife away. Your pets will be viewed as a threat by the wildlife that ventures onto your property. Unfortunately, if your pets become curious about the different animals that they're encountering, they could be attacked. In order to protect your pets this winter, take steps to keep the wildlife off your property.

They'll Destroy Your Property

Wild animals have no respect for private property, which means your yard will become fair game for destruction. Unfortunately, once the wildlife takes over your property, you could lose your shrubbery and trees. If vermin such as racoons and squirrels get into your fireplace or attic, they'll destroy your home, as well. Prevent the destruction of your property by controlling the wildlife activity on your property this winter.

They'll Wander Into Harms Way

If you've got wildlife roaming your property, they may get comfortable with the location. If that happens, they may wander into harm's way. It's not uncommon for wildlife to wander onto busy highways, which could result in injury or death of the animals. If the animals become a nuisance and wildlife authorities deem them a threat to the community, they could be put down. Protect the wildlife from harm by contacting pest control services as soon as you notice activity on your property.

They'll Invite Other Wildlife Activity

Once a wild animal finds an attractive area to hang out for the winter, other wild animals will follow behind. The additional wildlife activity could lead to overpopulation of an area. Increased wildlife activity in an area leads to a depletion of resources, which will eventually result in fights over territory. Unfortunately, those territorial fights could put you and others in harm's way. Avoid the territorial battles and overpopulation of the area by utilizing pest control services to keep the wildlife out of your yard.

Don't take chances with the wildlife this winter. If you notice wild animals on your property, contact a pest control company near you as soon as possible. Visit for more information.
